Kid's Trip Sunriver 2014 Day 1

Just a quick entry to let everyone know that we had a terrific drive to Sunriver.  The kids watched the movie Divergent and were entertained the entire time.  Despite getting a late start (cough, cough, Tina), we made it here on time.  We stopped once in Sandy for non perishable groceries and then once again when we hit Sunriver.  It is a trip to watch 5 kids sort out what they all can agree on eating for 4 days.  Then they need to figure out what ingredients are needed and where they are in the store.  I just walk along for the entertainment.

We are super close to the village.  We all feel really comfortable.  We already went for a bike ride after renting 2 bikes.  You see, the house comes with 4 so we only needed 2 more.  I really love my bike.









Right now the kids are in the hot tub in the rain.  We had a cool thunderstorm and are enjoying a bit of the accompanying rain.

No Lessa in the tub till tomorrow due to an ear infection!

It's just me and 5 kids till Thursday when their parental units--which shall forth be referred to as "The Rents"--insist on taking them away from me.  I can't wait to see just how much fun we get into before then.






Yes, I heard about Robin Williams suicide today.  Many of you know that he was my favorite actor/comedian.  My all time favorite movie will always be Aladdin.  I can't think about a world where he is not plying his craft.  So, I'm going to be in denial for a while if that's okay with everyone--and even if it's not okay.  I've just had my fill of losing this week.
